AN ACT LIMITING ORDERS RELATED TO FIREARMS AND
AMMUNITION DURING A CIVIL PREPAREDNESS EMERGENCY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 28-9 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the 1
Governor or any municipality from modifying or suspending any 2
statute or regulation with regard to the ownership, use, purchase, sale, 3
storage, display, transportation or transfer of firearms or ammunition 4
during a civil preparedness emergency. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the Governor or any municipality from restricting lawful
possession of a firearm or ammunition during a civil preparedness
emergency.
