AN ACT CONCERNING PRIMARIES FOR STATE OR DISTRICT
OFFICE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to move from the 1
second Tuesday in August to the last Saturday in May the day in an 2
even-numbered year on which any primary for nomination to an office 3
to be voted upon at a state election shall be held. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To move from the second Tuesday in August to the last Saturday in
May the day in the year of a state election on which primaries for
choosing nominees to state offices are held.
