AN ACT EXTENDING THE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS FOR
BRINGING AN ACTION WHEN A LATENT DEFECT IS DISCOVERED
IN CONSTRUCTION-RELATED WORK.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 52-584a of the general statutes be amended to extend 1
the statute of limitations for bringing certain actions when a latent 2
defect is discovered in construction-related work. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To protect property owners by tolling the statute of limitations when a
latent defect is discovered in construction-related work.
