AN ACT CONCERNING IMPROVED PUBLIC ACCESS TO CERTAIN
BUSINESS RECORDS FILED WITH THE SECRETARY OF THE STATE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Secretary of the 1
State to direct the Commercial Recording Division of the office of the 2
Secretary of the State to make enhancements to the CONCORD 3
commercial records database in order to allow a member of the public 4
to ascertain the name and address of a business entity's agent for 5
service of process by entering the name of the owner, officer or agent 6
of a business entity in the database. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Secretary of the State to enhance the CONCORD
commercial records database by allowing a member of the public to
ascertain the name and address of a business entity's agent for service
of process by entering the name of the owner, officer or agent of such
business entity in the database.
