1818 AN ACT INCREASING FINES AND PENALTIES FOR THE ILLEGAL
1919 SALE OF TOBACCO, ELECTRONIC NICOTINE DELIVERY SYSTEMS
2020 AND VAPOR PRODUCTS TO UNDERAGE PERSONS.
2121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2222 Assembly convened:

2424 That the general statutes be amended to (1) increase the fines and 1
2525 penalties levied on anyone who sells tobacco, an electronic nicotine 2
2626 delivery system or a vapor product to an underage person, and (2) 3
2727 require any such fines or penalties collected to be used for anti-vaping 4
2828 and anti-tobacco education programs for students in the state and the 5
2929 establishment of a grant program for the installation of vape detectors 6
3030 in public schools. 7
3131 Statement of Purpose:
3232 To increase fines and penalties for the illegal sale of tobacco, electronic
3333 nicotine delivery systems and vapor products to underage persons,
3434 and to use such revenue for anti-vaping and anti-tobacco education
3535 programs and the creation of a grant program to make vape detectors
3636 available to schools.
