AN ACT ESTABLISHING A LIMIT ON THE VALUE OF GIFTS PHYSICIANS MAY ACCEPT FROM DRUG MANUFACTURERS AND WHOLESALERS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to prohibit any physician 1 licensed under chapter 370 of the general statutes, or any member of 2 the physician's family, from accepting anything of value in excess of 3 ten dollars, except drug samples, from a manufacturer or wholesaler of 4 drugs, or any representative of such manufacturer or wholesaler. 5 Statement of Purpose: To establish a limit on the value of gifts physicians and their families may accept from manufacturers and wholesalers of drugs.
