AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF PLASTIC STRAWS, STIRRERS,
SINGLE-USE PLASTIC BAGS, POLYSTYRENE PACKAGING, HELIUM
BALLOONS AND PRODUCTS THAT CONTAIN MICROPLASTICS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the use of plastic 1
straws, stirrers, polystyrene packaging, helium balloons released into 2
the atmosphere, single-use plastic bags and products that contain 3
microplastics. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce plastics pollution.
