AN ACT PROHIBITING THE PURCHASE OR USE OF A RTIFICIAL
TURF BY THE STATE AND MUNICIPALITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
(NEW) (Effective October 1, 2019) On and after October 1, 2019, no 1
municipality, including, but not limited to, any school district, and no 2
department or agency of the state shall enter a contract for the 3
purchase, use or installation of artificial turf. 4
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
sections:
(NEW) October 1, 2019 New section
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit towns and the state from purchasing and using artificial
turf.
