| 24 | 24 | Section 1. Section 26-25c of the general statutes is repealed and the 1 | |
| 25 | 25 | following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 1, 2019): 2 | |
| 26 | 26 | (a) No person, nonprofit organization, firm or corporation, 3 | |
| 27 | 27 | including the state and its political subdivisions, shall knowingly 4 | |
| 28 | 28 | release, organize the release of or intentionally cause to be released 5 | |
| 29 | 29 | into the atmosphere [within a twenty-four-hour period ten or more] 6 | |
| 30 | 30 | helium or other lighter-than-air gas balloons in the state. 7 | |
| 31 | 31 | (b) Any violation of subsection (a) of this section shall be an 8 | |
| 32 | 32 | infraction. 9 | |
