AN ACT RESTRICTING THE TRANSPORTATION ALLOWANCE TO
DRIVERS OF A MOTOR VEHICLE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 2-15 of the general statutes be amended to restrict the 1
transportation allowance to members or members-elect who drive a 2
motor vehicle to the State Capitol or other location where a public 3
hearing or meeting is held and to prohibit any member or member-4
elect who is a passenger in a motor vehicle from collecting such 5
allowance. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To restrict mileage reimbursement to legislators who drive to work
and prohibit legislators who are passengers from collecting the
reimbursement.
