AN ACT ENCOURAGING INSURERS TO DEVELOP TECHNOLOGY TO
PREVENT TEXTING WHILE DRIVING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to encourage 1
insurers doing business in this state to develop technology to prevent 2
persons from sending or reading text messages with a hand-held 3
mobile telephone or mobile electronic device while operating a motor 4
vehicle. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To encourage insurers doing business in this state to develop
technology to prevent persons from sending or reading text messages
with a hand-held mobile telephone or mobile electronic device while
operating a motor vehicle.
