AN ACT CONCERNING THE ISSUANCE OF "SAVE THE LAKES"
COMMEMORATIVE NUMBER PLATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 246 of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1
the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles shall issue "Save the Lakes" 2
commemorative number plates and that a fee shall be charged for the 3
issuance of such number plates that shall be in addition to the regular 4
fee or fees prescribed for the registration of a motor vehicle and that 5
shall be used to pay the administrative cost of issuing such number 6
plates and distributed to lake authorities in their efforts to combat 7
invasive plant and animal species. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To provide financial assistance to lake authorities in their efforts to
combat invasive plant and animal species by requiring the
Commissioner of Motor Vehicles to issue "Save the Lakes"
commemorative license plates.
