AN ACT PROHIBITING THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH FROM MAKING
RESCISSIONS OR OTHER REDUCTIONS TO A TOWN'S EDUCATION
COST-SHARING GRANT DURING THE FISCAL YEAR.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That sections 4-85 and 10-262i of the general statutes be amended to 1
prohibit the executive branch from making rescissions or other 2
reductions to the equalization aid grant that a town is entitled to 3
receive under the provisions of section 10-262h of the general statutes 4
and paid under section 10-262i of the general statutes during a fiscal 5
year. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the Governor from making rescissions to towns' education
cost-sharing grants during a fiscal year.
