AN ACT PROTECTING THE IDENTITY OF LAW ENFORCEMENT
OFFICERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to withhold from 1
public disclosure the voter registration information of any elector who 2
(1) lives in the same dwelling unit as any law enforcement officer 3
residing in the town served by such officer, and (2) shares the same last 4
name with such officer. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To suppress the publication of information that may potentially place
law enforcement families at risk of harm.
