AN ACT REQUIRING A TWO-THIRDS VOTE OF THE GENERAL
ASSEMBLY TO CREATE OR ENLARGE MUNICIPAL MANDATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That subsection (d) of section 2-32b of the general statutes be 1
amended to require a two-thirds vote of each chamber of the General 2
Assembly to enact legislation that creates or enlarges a state mandate 3
to local governments. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To require a two-thirds vote of each chamber of the General Assembly
to enact legislation that creates or enlarges a state mandate to local
governments.
