AN ACT REQUIRING A STRATEGIC PLAN TO EXPAND ACCESS TO
SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER TREATMENT SERVICES AND
DETOXIFICATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner 1
of Mental Health and Addiction Services, in consultation with the 2
Commissioners of Public Health and Social Services, to develop a 3
strategic plan to expand access to substance use disorder treatment 4
services and detoxification. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To combat the opioid crisis by providing adequate treatment options.
