AN ACT REQUIRING DRUG MANUFACTURERS AND DISTRIBUTORS
TO ACCEPT USED SHARPS FROM PATIENTS FOR DISPOSAL OR
RECYCLING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require drug manufacturers 1
and distributors to accept used sharps from patients in the state for 2
disposal or recycling. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To require drug manufacturers to accept sharps so that they can be
properly disposed of or recycled.
