AN ACT REQUIRING RETROACTIVE MEDICAID PAYMENTS FOR
ELIGIBLE HOME CARE SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 17b-342 of the general statutes be amended to require 1
retroactive Medicaid payments consistent with federal law for eligible 2
home care services provided the Medicaid applicant receiving such 3
services has not made a transfer of assets for less than fair market 4
value in the sixty months prior to applying for Medicaid. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To facilitate state savings on institutional care by providing retroactive
Medicaid payments consistent with federal law for eligible home care
services.
