AN ACT EXPANDING REQUIRED HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE
FOR MENTAL OR NERVOUS CONDITIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 700c of the general statutes be amended to expand 1
required health insurance coverage for mental or nervous conditions 2
by (1) requiring coverage for services provided by health care 3
providers selected by the covered individual, and (2) expanding 4
coverage for long-term hospitalization. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To expand required health insurance coverage for mental or nervous
conditions by (1) requiring coverage for services provided by health
care providers selected by the covered individual, and (2) expanding
coverage for long-term hospitalization.
