AN ACT REQUIRING AUTOMATIC PUMP SHUT -OFF SYSTEMS ON
SWIMMING POOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require installation of 1
automatic pump shut-off systems on new swimming pools and those 2
undergoing pump replacements. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent fatalities due to suction entrapment in swimming pools by
requiring the installation of automatic pump shut-off systems on new
swimming pools and those undergoing pump replacements.
