AN ACT CONCERNING UNUSED TUITION WAIVERS AT PUBLIC
INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND CHILDREN OF
VETERANS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to require that 1
payment of tuition at public institutions of higher education shall be 2
waived for any child of a veteran entitled to a tuition waiver, provided 3
the number of semesters for which such child may receive any such 4
tuition waiver shall be calculated by subtracting from eight the 5
number of semesters for which such veteran received any such tuition 6
waiver. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To provide a tuition waiver at public institutions of higher education
for any child of a veteran who did not utilize any tuition waiver to
which such veteran was entitled.
