AN ACT CONCERNING CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM GRANTS
FOR UNOPPOSED CANDIDATES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 9-705 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the 1
payment of any grant under the Citizens' Election Program to the 2
qualified candidate committee of any candidate nominated for election 3
who does not have any opponent in the general election campaign. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit payment of Citizens' Election Program grants to candidates
unopposed in the general election campaign.
