AN ACT CONCERNING A REPORT ON THE STANDARDS FOR
ADMISSION OF STUDENTS TO PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER
EDUCATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 10a of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Board of Regents for Higher Education and the Board of Trustees for 2
The University of Connecticut to submit a report, not later than 3
January 1, 2020, on the standards and policies used to make 4
admissions decisions at each institution or campus within the 5
jurisdiction of the Connecticut State University System and The 6
University of Connecticut, including how academic achievement is 7
weighted in such admissions decisions. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To require a report detailing the standards and policies concerning the
admission of students at institutions or campuses within the
jurisdiction of the Connecticut State University System and The
University of Connecticut.
