AN ACT CONCERNING MEDICAID COVERAGE OF IN -HOME
COUNSELING PROVIDED BY A HOME HEALTH CARE AGENCY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 17b-242 of the general statutes be amended to provide 1
Medicaid reimbursement to home health agencies for in -home 2
counseling to Medicaid recipients provided by social workers 3
employed by such agencies. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce barriers to outpatient behavioral health and other
counseling facing persons who lack transportation or who have
conditions preventing travel by providing Medicaid reimbursement
for in-home counseling provided by social workers employed by home
health agencies.
