AN ACT CONCERNING WORK REQUIREMENTS FOR MEDICAID
RECIPIENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Social Services to seek a waiver under Section 1115 of 2
the Social Security Act to require able-bodied Medicaid recipients to 3
work or volunteer to maintain benefits. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To establish a program to foster volunteerism and employment among
able-bodied Medicaid recipients in Connecticut.
