AN ACT CONCERNING PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTIONS FOR GOLD
STAR PARENTS AND SURVIVING SPOUSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 12-81ii of the general statutes be amended to require 1
that each municipality provide a property tax exemption to any 2
eligible parent whose child was killed in action, or surviving spouse of 3
a person who was killed in action, while performing active military 4
duty with the armed forces. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To require municipalities to provide a property tax exemption to
eligible Gold Star parents and surviving spouses.
