AN ACT PROHIBITING UNAUTHORIZED CASH WITHDRAWALS WITH
EBT CARDS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to prohibit 1
recipients of state-administered cash assistance programs from using 2
electronic benefit transfer (EBT) cards to withdraw cash for purposes 3
not authorized under the assistance programs. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the use of electronic benefit transfer cards to withdraw
cash for unauthorized purposes.
