1818 AN ACT CONCERNING THE PAYMENT OF MEDICARE
1919 REIMBURSEMENTS BY INSURANCE COMPANIES.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2323 That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require that each 1
2424 insurance company tender payment directly to counsel for a Medicare 2
2525 beneficiary if (1) the beneficiary sustained a bodily injury in this state, 3
2626 (2) such beneficiary received health care services resulting from such 4
2727 injury, (3) Medicare conditionally tendered payment to such 5
2828 beneficiary for the cost of such services, and (4) such company is 6
2929 deemed liable for the cost of such services as part of a legal 7
3030 proceeding. 8

3232 To require that insurance companies tender payment directly to
3333 counsel for Medicare beneficiaries in certain circumstances.
