Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That subsection (a) of section 52-557b of the general statutes be 1 amended to protect licensed physicians and other health care 2 providers who use automatic external defibrillators in the ordinary 3 course of their employment or practice from civil liability when the 4 automatic external defibrillator malfunctions. 5 Statement of Purpose: To protect physicians and other health care providers who use automatic external defibrillator in the ordinary course of their employment or practice from civil liability when the automatic external defibrillator malfunctions.
