AN ACT EXPEDITING INVESTIGATIONS OF OFFICER -INVOLVED
SHOOTINGS THAT RESULT IN DEATH.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 51-277a of the general statutes be amended to set 1
deadlines for an investigation by a prosecutorial official of a peace 2
officer's use of physical force against a person that results in the 3
person's death. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To expedite the investigation timeline when a prosecutorial official
investigates a peace officer's use of physical force against a person that
results in the person's death.
