AN ACT CREATING EDUCATION SAVINGS ACCOUNTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to create education savings 1
accounts in which the funds that would have been allocated to the 2
school district in which a student resides is deposited into such 3
account for the purpose of allowing the parents or guardians of such 4
student to choose an education program outside of such school district, 5
and to establish financial and accountability standards for such 6
education savings accounts to ensure student safety and safeguard 7
state funds. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To create education savings accounts.
