MILLER P., 145th Dist. AN ACT CONCERNING OFFICIAL AND UNOFFICIAL CHECKERS IN POLLING PLACES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That section 9-261 of the general statutes be amended to provide 1 that, for electors in the polling place who have received a ballot, the 2 official checkers shall announce such elector's voter identification 3 number in a tone sufficiently loud and clear as to enable the unofficial 4 checkers present, if any, to hear the same. 5 Statement of Purpose: To ensure official checkers in a polling place loudly and clearly announce the voter identification number of an elector permitted to receive a ballot such that any unofficial checker can hear such information.
