AN ACT CONCERNING THE FILLING OF VACANCIES IN PARTY
ENDORSEMENT OR NOMINATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to provide that, in the 1
event of a vacancy in candidacy on a ballot at a primary or election, the 2
endorsing or nominating political party shall fill such vacancy earlier 3
than presently required. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To make earlier the deadlines for party committees to fill vacancies in
endorsements and nominations.
