AN ACT CONCERNING HOUSING AUTHORITY JURISDICTION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 8-40 of the general statutes be amended to permit a 1
housing authority to expand its area of operation to include high and 2
very high opportunity census tracts, as determined by the Department 3
of Housing pursuant to section 8-348 of the general statutes, provided 4
part of any such census tract is located within thirty miles of the 5
housing authority's area of operation. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To allow a housing authority to expand its jurisdiction to include high
and very high opportunity areas.
