AN ACT REQUIRING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR
ABORTION SERVICES WITHOUT COST -SHARING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 700c of the general statutes be amended to require that 1
each insurer, health care center, fraternal benefit society, hospital 2
service corporation, medical service corporation or other entity 3
delivering, issuing for delivery, renewing, amending or continuing a 4
health insurance policy in this state provide coverage for abortion 5
services without cost-sharing. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To require that each insurer, health care center, fraternal benefit
society, hospital service corporation, medical service corporation or
other entity delivering, issuing for delivery, renewing, amending or
continuing a health insurance policy in this state provide coverage for
abortion services without cost-sharing.
