AN ACT REQUIRING HEALTH INSURERS TO ACCEPT PAYMENTS FROM CERTAIN NONPROFIT CORPORATIONS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require that each 1 insurer, health care center, fraternal benefit society, hospital service 2 corporation, medical service corporation or other entity delivering, 3 issuing for delivery, renewing, amending or continuing a health 4 insurance policy in this state accept payments from each nonprofit 5 corporation that is operating in this state and in compliance with the 6 federal False Claims Act, 31 USC Sections 3729 to 3733, inclusive. 7 Statement of Purpose: To require that each insurer, health care center, fraternal benefit society, hospital service corporation, medical service corporation or other entity delivering, issuing for delivery, renewing, amending or continuing a health insurance policy in this state accept payments from each nonprofit corporation that is operating in this state and in compliance with the federal False Claims Act.
