AN ACT CONCERNING POLICE VERIFICATION OF REGISTERED
SEXUAL OFFENDERS' ADDRESSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 969 of the general statutes concerning police 1
verification of registered sexual offenders' addresses be amended to 2
require a verification of an offender's physical address instead of 3
mailing address, to verify compliance with required setbacks and to 4
ensure that the proper chief elected official is notified of such 5
registered sexual offender's location. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To ensure that registered sexual offenders are compliant with statutory
setbacks and that the officials of the proper municipality are notified
where the registered sexual offenders live.
