1818 AN ACT IMPOSING SANCTIONS AGAINST A PARENT WHO IS IN
1919 CONTEMPT OF COURT ORDERS RELATING TO CUSTODY AND
2020 VISITATION.
2121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2222 Assembly convened:

2424 That section 46b-87 of the general statutes be amended to include 1
2525 progressive sanctions that may be imposed by the court against a 2
2626 parent who repeatedly is found in contempt of court with respect to 3
2727 custody and visitation orders; such sanctions shall include, but not be 4
2828 limited to: (1) Fines, (2) a reduction in, or loss of, parenting time, and 5
2929 (3) a change in the award of custody from one parent to the other 6
3030 parent. 7

3232 To promote the best interests of children by ensuring that parents
3333 comply with court orders relating to custody and visitation.
