AN ACT CONCERNING THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY TO AUTOMATE
THE COLLECTION AND REMITTANCE OF SALES TAX.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require businesses to 1
incorporate technologies at the point of sale to automate the collection 2
and remittance of sales tax to the state. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To improve the sales tax collection rate and timeliness of remittance.
