2020 AN ACT CONCERNING PEDESTRIAN SAFETY AT CROSSWALKS.
2121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2222 Assembly convened:

2424 That subsection (c) of section 14-300 of the general statutes be 1
2525 amended to require motor vehicles operators to grant the right-of-way 2
2626 to a person who steps to the curb at the entrance to a crosswalk. 3
2727 Statement of Purpose:
2828 To promote the safety of pedestrians by requiring motor vehicle
2929 operators to yield the right-of-way to pedestrians who step to the curb
3030 at a crosswalk, rather than only to pedestrians who step off the curb
3131 and into the crosswalk thereby endangering themselves.
