(By Request) AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY ABOUT ROAD SAFETY. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the Commissioner of Transportation, in conjunction with the 1 Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection, be 2 required to study the relationship between accident rates and the 3 current minimum speed limit of forty miles per hour on limited access 4 highways in the state and make recommendations for legislation to 5 improve road safety to the joint standing committees of the General 6 Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to transportation and 7 public safety and security. 8 Statement of Purpose: To direct the Commissioners of Transportation and Emergency Services and Public Protection to jointly study road safety.
