AN ACT ESTABLISHING AN ELDER ABUSE REGISTRY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Social Services to develop (1) a comprehensive 2
registry of persons convicted of physical abuse or financial exploitation 3
of elderly persons, and (2) a list of former employees of state agencies 4
or contractors who have been terminated due to substantiated reports 5
of abuse, neglect or financial exploitation of elderly persons. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To establish an elder abuse registry.
