AN ACT CONCERNING THE AGE WHEN A SPECIAL EDUCATION STUDENT SHALL BEGIN RECEIVING TRANSITION SERVICES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That part V of chapter 164 of the general statutes be amended to 1 require that any child receiving special education services who is 2 fourteen years of age shall begin receiving transition services. 3 Statement of Purpose: To lower the age for when a special education student is to begin receiving transition services to fourteen years of age.
