AN ACT REQUIRING SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION FUNDS TO BE USED
FOR ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY, NET ZERO ENERGY
SCHOOLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that any school 1
construction funds be used only on environmentally friendly, net zero 2
energy standard schools. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To end the expenditure of state and local money on new schools that
are harmful to the environment and cause excess energy expenses for
tax payers during the useful life of the building.
