AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY OF MUNICIPAL RETENTION OF A
PORTION OF THE REVENUE GENERATED BY THE SALES AND USE
TAXES ON HOTELS AND LODGING HOUSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the Commissioner of Revenue Services be required to study 1
and evaluate allowing municipalities to retain a portion of the hotel 2
and lodging house occupancy tax revenue generated by hotels and 3
lodging houses located in the municipality. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To require a study of allowing municipalities to retain a portion of the
hotel and lodging house occupancy tax revenue generated by hotels
and lodging houses located in the municipality.
