AN ACT REQUIRING DISCLOSURE STATEMENTS FOR CERTAIN
TELEPHONE CALLS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require a disclosure 1
statement at the beginning of a telephone call to a consumer, if the call 2
is unsolicited and is made for commercial or information gathering 3
purposes. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To protect consumers from misleading commercial or information
gathering telephone communications.
