AN ACT CONCERNING SPECIAL ELECTIONS TO FILL STATE
LEGISLATIVE VACANCIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 9-215 of the general statutes be amended to permit a 1
political party to conduct a primary for the purpose of determining the 2
nominee who will appear on the ballot at any special election held to 3
fill a vacancy in the office of state senator or state representative. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To allow political parties to conduct primaries to determine nominees
to run in special elections held to fill state legislative vacancies.
