AN ACT CONCERNING THE JURISDICTION OF HOUSING
AUTHORITIES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That sections 8-39 and 8-40 of the general statutes be amended to 1
permit housing authorities to adopt expanded areas of operation that 2
include higher opportunity areas, provided such higher opportunity 3
areas are located within thirty miles of the municipality in which the 4
housing authority is located. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the jurisdiction of housing authorities to offer a greater
range of housing choices.
