AN ACT CONCERNING ACCESS BY NURSING HOME RESIDENTS TO
COMMUNITY TRANSPORTATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit a provider of 1
public transportation from setting disparate requirements for nursing 2
home residents to obtain transportation service or choice of 3
destinations unless medically indicated. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To allow nursing home residents equal access to community
transportation services in order to achieve equal and inclusive
community participation and prevent discrimination based on nursing
home residency status.
