20	19		AN ACT RESTRICTING THE USE OF PRIOR CLAIMS FOR

22	21		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
23	22		Assembly convened:

25	24		Section 1. (NEW) (Effective January 1, 2020) No insurer, health care 1
26	25		center, hospital service corporation, medical service corporation, 2
27	26		fraternal benefit society or other entity that delivers, issues for 3
28	27		delivery, renews, amends or continues an individual or group health 4
29	28		insurance policy in this state providing coverage of the type specified 5
30	29		in subdivisions (1), (2), (4), (11) and (12) of section 38a-469 of the 6
31	30		general statutes shall discriminate against an individual on the basis of 7
32	31		a prior claim for naloxone hydrochloride. Such discrimination may 8
33	32		include, but is not limited to, discrimination in the amounts of policy 9
34	33		premiums or rates, the availability of covered benefits or policy terms 10
35	34		or conditions. 11
36	35		This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following
